The Flying Scotsman breaks by Coach
Climb aboard the wonderful Flying Scotsman and experience this legendary feat of British engineering as it travels along the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
The Flying Scotsman is a record-holding train. It was the first authenticated steam locomotive to reach 100 miles per hour in 1934, whilst also holding the record for the longest non-stop journey by steam in 1989 with a 442-mile trip.
You just won’t want to miss the opportunity to travel on this beautiful train, often described as the most famous locomotive in the world.
Sit back, relax and take in the enchanting atmosphere of a bygone era, whilst admiring the picturesque views of the surrounding countryside.
The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is in the heart of Yorkshire and is described as ‘The Railway Children Line’. It featured on the big screen in the film adaptation of E. Nesbit’s The Railway Children, released in 1970.
Today, the five-mile branch line railway runs heritage steam and diesel trains from the industrial landscape of Keighley to the attractive Brontë Country of Oxenhope.
Our break includes coach travel with reserved seating, hotel accommodation with dinner, bed and breakfast, and a trip on the wonderful Flying Scotsman.
